Today we decided to get Rhone a haircut.
He turns 2 in April and have not had to cut his hair yet.
We started out with making sure he was happy. He was feed, he had a long nap, and we brought the secret weapon... the IPAD.
Toy Story is Rhone's favorite movie! It captivates his so well, he will sit still and watch that movie with no sound for the entire 2 hours of play. This has been our secret weapon when traveling, out to dinner, and today for his haircut.
We walk into CostCutters and ask if we could get Rhone's hair cut. Becky the wonderful stylist gravitates toward him, happy and upbeat. He's smiling, laughing and holding the Ipad. She sits him down on a booster seat and imediatly he gets a scared look in his eye and tries to get down.
We decided it would be better if he sat on daddy lap. So we tried that for a few minutes while watching the movie. Once Becky started to put the apron over him he freaked out. He did not want any part of that. We then decided ok, no apron and lets try my lap.
He did well for a few minutes, still very involved in the movie. Becky took one brush stroke to his hair and he looked back and immediately started crying and throwing a fit.
He obviously was not going to get his hair cut today. We calmed him down and finally he smiled at Becky and gave her a high five.
So, we've decided to try again next weekend, if that doesn't work,, it looks like Rhone will be growing his hair out like his daddy. And you know what... I totally OK with that
